About Jumeirah

Jumeirah is a long-established beachfront district along the Arabian Gulf in Dubai, historically dominated by low-rise standalone villas rather than off-plan towers. It stretches roughly from La Mer and City Walk in the north through Jumeirah 1, 2 and 3 along Jumeirah Beach Road, blending into the Umm Suqeim villa communities to the south. The district includes distinct pockets such as Jumeirah Bay Island (home to the Bulgari Resort & Residences), Pearl Jumeirah and Madinat Jumeirah Living, alongside older, more affordable villa clusters further from the water. Unlike single-masterplan communities, Jumeirah developed organically over decades under multiple landowners and, more recently, Meraas-led waterfront extensions. Property types range from renovated older villas to new-build luxury villas and island residences, with newer freehold apartment and villa developments concentrated in specific sub-pockets rather than across the district as a whole.
