New Launches in Dubai Production City
FreeholdDubai Production City, formerly known as the International Media Production Zone (IMPZ), was established in 2003 by TECOM Group, a Dubai Holding subsidiary, as a free economic zone built to house media production companies alongside residential and business space. It sits on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road in Dubailand, adjacent to Dubai Sports City and near Jumeirah Golf Estates, occupying a large plot of land within the wider Dubailand corridor. The zone is designated a freehold area, and its residential stock — mainly studios to three-bedroom apartments in complexes such as Lakeside, Lago Vista, The Crescent, and Centrum — has been delivered by multiple private developers building within the masterplan rather than a single master developer, which is why the community is generally described as having mixed developers. Development has proceeded more slowly than originally planned, and parts of the zone remain under-built relative to the original masterplan vision.
